The longest running kite in the Naish line, the Torch with ESP has kept freestyle and big-air specialists stoked for over a decade.
With input from Red Bull King of the Air Champions and top freestyle kiters, the Torch continues to be refined and tuned to deliver smoother power and precise handling for predictable flying. For 2019 the focus has been on improving its low end power. Each size has been overhauled, receiving adjustments to the leading edge diameter and profile along with adjustments to the 5th line to ensure that there is maximum power delivery in marginal conditions. Also receiving updates are the removal of the Dacron solid frame panels as the strength of Quad-Tex has proven this feature no longer necessary. The removal of these panels reduces the weight while retaining the rigidity of the canopy. Also enhancing the strength is a new thread material used on the leading edge, which tested off the charts in strength testing. With this you can have confidence your kite will hold strong, beating after beating. Bladder Lock is another new feature, securing the bladder in place and preventing slippage. The ESP setting allows kiters to tune the flying angle for better control and easier depower.
Year after year, the Torch with ESP continues to set the bar as the pinnacle of freestyle performance and the 2019 model further reinforces that legacy.

Reduces weight while minimizing & dispersing canopy flutter
Secures bladders ends and prevents slippage
This high-tensile thread fortifies the leading edge along the seam, so you can confidently inflate to higher pressure for better flying characteristics.
Front-loading zip bag = quick & convenient packing
Front & bottom drainage mesh = enhanced ventilation
Centipede strap = link multiple kite bags for hands-free carrying
Side pump attachment
Kiteboard carry straps
Solid feel + stability + control in high winds
One-way valve for reduced frictional force + easy inflation + immediate deflation
This proven airframe design delivers maximum pop and lift. The non-swept outline aligns the center of effort with the tow point for perfect loading through the canopy at all times, resulting in power through the turn.
Greater angle of attack control for more instant depower
Kite flies more open for more direct bar feel & heightened stability
The profile’s depth and shape evolves along the airfoil, helping create a fast flying, stable kite with less back stalling. The center sections generate power thanks to a deeper profile, while the flatter profile in the tips minimizes drag and allows faster turning.
The radial segmented shape uses short linear segments to accurately form the kite’s arc.
This proven, quick, and easy single-point inflation system creates uniform pressure in the struts and leading edge. Naish’s exclusive one-way internal valve ensures that the pressure within the struts does not change during turns.
Extremely easy access to the internal valve when replacing bladders.
Optimal trailing edge protection with a molded reinforcement at the end of each strut.
Large thermo-molded bumpers wrap around the leading edge, which provide seam protection when landing and launching the kite.
Patches along LE segments to protect the seams.
Buffers and disperses canopy flutter to reduce wear and enhance durability
This construction provides better twist control of the leading edge, and improves turning performance.
The deflate valve has a double-Velcro closure design to ensure closure during impact.
A double-Velcro flat enclosure ensures that the zipper will not fail under load.
A reduction in the number of pieces used in the struts means more precision in defining the canopy profile. The seams are also reinforced with an extra layer of webbing, and double zigzag stitches to avoid breakage.
Fiberglass reinforced plastic adds another level of protection and allows the leading edge to sustain very high pressure.
